Heber Springs Municipal (HBZ) is a city owned general aviation airport in north central Arkansas. Located 2 miles northeast of the city center, the airport occupies 55 acres. The airport is served by one runway, Runway 5-23, measuring 4,002 feet in length. The runway is supported by a partial parallel taxiway. Both runway ends are served by a non-precision instrument approach. A fixed base operator (FBO) at the airport provides aircraft services, including 100LL and Jet A fuel. Aircraft storage is provided by conventional hangars and t-hangars, while apron tie-downs provide aircraft parking. The airport serves as a gateway for visitors to Greers Ferry lake and other area recreation. Flight instruction and recreational f lying are frequent general aviation activities at the airport.
