Morrilton Municipal (BDQ) is a city owned general aviation airport in central Arkansas. Located 2 miles southeast of the city center, the airport occupies 100 acres. The airport is served by one runway, Runway 9-27, measuring 4,000 feet in length. The runway is served by a partial parallel taxiway for the west, and a turnaround is provided for the east end. Runway 27 is served by a non-precision instrument approach.
A fixed base operator (FBO) at the airport provides aircraft services, including 100LL and sometimes Jet A fuel. Aircraft storage is provided by t-hangars, conventional hangars, as well as apron tie-downs for aircraft parking. Flight activities include corporate activity, helicopter activity, military training, and recreational flying.
Morrilton - Petit Jean Park (MPJ) is a state owned general aviation airport in central Arkansas. Located 8 miles west of the Morrilton city center, the airport occupies 148 acres. There is one runway located at the airport, Runway 3- 21, measuring 5,853 feet in length. The runway does not have a parallel taxiway, although the apron and airport facilities are adjacent to the runway. A non-precision instrument approach is published for Runway 3.
The airport is unique in that it primarily sustains itinerant recreational traffic. Many airport visitors use the fly-in campground facility. Limited aircraft services are available at the airport, but no fueling options are available. Services at the airport are primarily associated with the Petit Jean Park camping and lodging facilities.
