Salem (7M9) is a city owned general aviation airport in north central Arkansas. Located 1 mile southeast of the city center, the airport occupies 127 acres. The airport is served by one runway, Runway 2-20, measuring 3,500 feet in length. The runway is not served by a parallel taxiway; however, a turnaround is available at Runway 2, and connector taxiways provide access to the apron area at midfield. Currently, neither end of the runway is served by an instrument approach.

There is no fixed base operator (FBO) at the airport, and no aviation fuel is available. Hangars and apron tiedowns are available for aircraft storage and parking. The airport caters mostly to local general aviation activities, including recreational f lying, corporate/business, and police/law enforcement operations.
